House of Hope ®Yanta’Ho
Foundation, Inc. Bringing HOPE to Homeless Men &
Veterans
|

YANTAHO, under Shaman Cloud's leadership, seeks to “achieve
peace through healing” by raising the consciousness of all humankind. As a strong advocate for helping those who
cannot help themselves, he has established in 2009 the Yanta’Ho Foundation. One important project - House
of Hope - is designed to resolve the homeless challenge in the Virginia Beach area along with its ‘green’ project
- Greenhouses of Hope - provide not only shelter and safety but a high-quality program for resolving substance abuse to those
in need.

. The House
of Hope was created so that each homeless person gets a second chance – in some cases it is a first chance in knowing
what hope is. To date, this center's operating needs have been met by extraordinary generosity of in-kind donations
for the duration of one year. A beginning roster of 25 residents has now multiplied by more than twenty-fold! These
in-kind donations have included the donation of 25 greenhouses that were built by many volunteers and the residents of the
House of Hope. Most of the seedlings and plantings have been donated. A unique system for the irrigation and heating
by steam of each greenhouse was designed by Shaman Cloud. It has been successful in not only growing food for the House
of Hope but providing the residents with a valuable connection to serving their community by tending to the success of each
Greenhouse.
. The House of Hope program is administered directly by Shaman
Cloud with the assistance of resident captains who are responsible for a team of residents. The program requires all
residents who enter the House of Hope to sign a quarterly contract that he will be sober and drug-free while in residence
and refrain from all family visits. For the first 90 days, a resident in need of AA assistance will attend a meeting
daily and will not need to contribute toward rent during the first 30 of those 90 days. During the second 30-day period,
a resident will visit local labor halls for employment. Once a resident has located a job, he will begin to pay a ‘rent’
stipend to the House of Hope. Shaman Cloud has prepared a strong program for learning to live free of alcohol and drugs
on the journey to hope that is measured by each resident’s commitment and responsible part within the greater circle.
With each measured achievement by the residents, the group captains along with Shaman Cloud honor each gain with either a
group celebration or a family visit is allowed. This is how this project achieves hope by carrying forward the hope
from one person to the next person in need.

- Each Greenhouse of HOPE Project (YFGH)
constructed is maintained by Homeless Men & Veterans of all races and creed. When you give a man hope, this deters
crime. When you give a man hope in beating away poverty and hunger, this helps them raise their consciousness. When a
man is fed, there is no need to steal for food to keep his family safe. When these men get hope and a reason to belong,
they know HOPE. It is not our job to judge these people's lives. Rather, it is our job to be our brother's keepers.
Your donation funds the labor and the building materials to construct one Greenhouse of HOPE. The plantings and
fertilizers are additional ongoing expenses. To date, there are 50 Greenhouses of Hope. Our intention is to stop hunger, poverty
and crime. This is our journey to achieving Peace in America for Americans.
- The House of HOPE Project (YFHH) provides shelter
and food at the facility where residents journey on their path to hope and sobriety. Your donations help the Yanta'Ho
House of Hope in providing food, blankets, sundries, to these hard-working members of the Yanta'Ho family who tend to the
success of the Greenhouse of Hope Project. Let's keep them warm, clean and fed all year round. Donation:
Residents as of April 1, 2011 (since October 2010 now over 500!
